NEW FOR 2019: Managing and working with Absestos Risk in Ground Investigation

A full day course developed to provide Non Licensed asbestos training in accordance with CAR 2012 for Ground Investigation practitioners who will or may encounter asbestos as part of their work.

On completion of the one-day course, delegates will be equipped with the practical knowledge and understanding of how to complete a suitable and sufficient asbestos risk assessment and to plan and safely manage the ongoing works where asbestos may be encountered. Attendees will also learn to identify type and condition of asbestos they may come across in the ground, understand what equipment and procedures are needed to safely sample, label and transport materials suspected of containing asbestos together with appropriate emergency and decontamination procedures.

Course Feedback

"The most useful element of the course was that it provided practical and pragmatic procedures for dealing with asbestos within the ground investigation process. The course has given me the confidence to develop methods of working to ensure that ground investigation works can proceed safely. The course also helped to clarify responsibilities of Clients and landowners in assessing the potential presence of asbestos. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending this course to ground investigation practitioners."
